Kinetic Traction Systems, Inc. engineers and builds the next generation of energy storage for electric rail traction power systems. KTSi management combine flywheel product design pioneered in rail systems during the 1990's by Urenco Power Technology with high-volume, carbon fiber flywheel manufacturing experience from Pentadyne Power Corporation.  The KTSi team brings more than two decades of combined experience in energy storage systems. KTSi continues to advance this technology.

Kinetic Traction Systems, Inc. was formed in 2010 as an independent entity focused purely on providing kinetic storage solutions for rail operations. KTSi offers clean flywheel power systems for turnkey solutions or retrofit and upgrades for the rail traction power market.

Kinetic Traction Systems works closely with transit agencies and partners with engineering and design firms and industry suppliers to advance voltage support and recycling solutions that allow electric rail operators to realize the next generation of performance, efficiency and sustainability.
